Thursday was my birthday. Wound up working quite late.
But Pammi had asked me what I wanted for the big day. I'd had my eye on a OTG style ash catcher for my kettle, as I was getting way tired of the aluminum frisbee! She told me to find it and buy it! Amazon to the rescue, using the link here, of course! Ordered it Wednesday, got it Friday! Sweet!
Today, we traveled to southern VA, Hillsville to be exact. A customer had told me that the entire town becomes a ginormous flea market on Memorial day and Labor day weekends. Much better than anything around here! Lots of CI and antiques, plus new cheap stuff.
We were walking around, and I saw a booth that had several ECB charcoal grills of various sizes and quality.
BUt in front of all that was a brand new Miller Lite SJ!
Blue and shiny!
I asked how much and was told $20! I offered $15, but was told that "Her girl spent soooo much time putting it together, she couldn't do $15".
Okay. I'm pretty sure that it takes a whole 4 screws to put it together, but it was worth $20 to me, so I got a new grill! Going to break it in Monday with a cowboy rib eye that Pammi picked up yesterday! Pics to follow!
I have a black SJ that we use when it's just Pammi and myself camping. Now I have 2 SJs. Pumped is a good word for what I'm feeling!
