Weber Genesis Silver restoration project

Hello All: I found this Weber Genesis Silver and it was free. I am not entirely sure what the manufactured date is, I believe it is around 2005 vintage. Also, I believe this is a Weber Genesis Silver B model. It needs a lot of clean up and normal replacement parts (because of its age). I have a picture of the model tag and other pictures as well. I'm hoping someone on this forum can provide a more exact date of this Weber Grill. Also, if someone knows a good site to get replacement parts that would be helpful as well. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best of luck on it. Looking forward to progress

You are correct. It's a 2005 Silver B cabinet model. Parts are easy to come by on Amazon or eBay.
At this point in my research that is going to be tough to source is the work table on the left side of the grill (P/N WEB60323). The rest of the parts are pretty easily sourced.

Yeah, that's one of the last things you want to try and find for those grills. I did recently see some thermoset tables for these grills on eBay. The only other ways to get them are either from another grill or a member here that might have extras.

I just tested this Genesis Silver and it fired right up. Here is a list of parts I need and along with that a complete tear down and restoration begins.

- Flavor bars
- Burners
- Top hardware (fasteners)
- Wheels and casters
- Igniter and Rocker switch
- knobs
- Work table (Pricy and hard to find) ain't gunna pay $24 for shipping

Flavorizer bars, burner tubes, casters, and knobs are all readily available. The wheels and igniter switch are both no longer available to buy new. The wheels can be repainted and the white walls purchased on Etsy if the wheels themselves are still in ok shape. You might be able to find the igniter on Etsy as well.

Great advice, Steve. Yah, I would definitely go along with the idea of just repainting your wheels. The front one in the picture looks to be fully intact. I am betting someone can help you with a decent used igniter switch.
