My Weber Genesis Redhead has been down and out this summer. Though it looks beautiful in my flower garden, I would love to find the frame and parts needed to get it back grilling again. Similar to another restoration story of a "redhead" on this site, I inherited this grill from my parents during their divorce. It was purchased in 1986 or 1987. About 15 years ago, I repainted the firebox, replaced a few parts, crafted a new handle, and strengthened the lower crossbar by adding metal rivets.
A few months ago, the legs (not sure this is the correct term) completely separated from the left and right sides of the frame. I would love to find a new frame or frame parts to patch the frame together. I should share that I am handy and can make simple metal cuts (handheld Dremel) but do not weld.
I would also love to find someone selling the lower wire shelf that originally came with this grill.
Any and all advice is welcomed!
I'm excited to post pictures once I get this grill back together and prettied up.
