Weber genesis 4000 or 5000 ?

Can you tell the age by the # on the lid? If so I am rebuilding one with a lid # A-1000EC-4. I would like to know what year. The serial from the tag is gone.

the lid # will be on inside bottom left or right in a circle..same for cook box on ft. underneath bottom

Is the 93 and 90 the year? I just sold the grill this morning so I will check on the next one.

Keep in mind that is simply the manufacture month of the cook box. Weber used the same cook box for several years running on many of their grills and many times the cook box is a year or two older than the actual manufacture date of the grill.
