Was a Tri tip sort of weekend!!

Howdy folks...this weekend was filled with a few walks in the woods, no deer, little family time and some grilled Tri tip!

Saturday we had some folks over for dinner so I marinated some Tri tip steaks in creamy horseradish and soy sauce..bit of S&P and garlic..about six hours on the soak!

Everyone raved over the steak but I think they could have been soaked for a few hours longer!!

Sunday I walked around in the woods in the morning..snapped a few pics at the 1200 foot lever where we actually had snow

Dennis here ya go!!

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugars. Stir in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Transfer to a 10-inch cast-iron skillet.

2. Bake until cookie is golden brown and just set in the center, 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes.
