Wanting feedback


 
I don't do brisket so can only comment on a 6 hr (spares) smoke: I can get by with 1/2 bag of K.B. (so 4 kg of a 8 kg bag). So, about 1/2 ring and 8-10 briq's in the chimney.

That gives me 225-230o and basically dust left at the end of the smoke.

I had the 18 and sold it to get a 22. I love the 22 and the fact that ribs fit with out cutting or rolling and big briskets fit good too with no overlap over the outside of the water pan.
 
I built a mini, oh welcome to the forum, and it works great, very efficient. I picked up a 18.5 off of Craig's list and it's as big as I'll every need but then again I don't cook for over 20 people. Like some others have said I do my turkeys high heat and use my performer for that cook.
Go with what you're comfortable with.
