I'm looking for his 13 flavorizer bars for my SS Platinum project.
On eBay he wants $96 plus $16 for shipping, I thought maybe someone has them that wants to sell.

Contact him through the Craigslist ad rather than FleaBay. Like me he sells much cheaper avoiding EBay and their crazy high fees. I know if I charged the kid of fee$ EBay does when I was a Realtor the FTC would have a field day! There are things I will simply toss in the trash rather than resort to paying their fees

Dave's Craigslist. Quite a bit cheaper than buying through his eBay. I just ordered another set last night for my Genesis Jr.

Just for reference I've ordered his flavorizer bars from eBay and from Craigslist for Genesis x000. Purchased on eBay after all the fees $118. purchased on Craigslist without fees $85

Weber flavor bars and grates

His prices may vary from these but they're definitely going to be significantly cheaper on Craigslist.

Josh, was the 85 dollars you posted including shipping ?
Yes I just double checked and the last 13 bar x000 set was $84.50 total.
And the 11 bar Genesis Junior set I just purchased was $76.90 if anyone is interested. I imagine his prices fluctuate with material cost changing.

I feel his prices are a bargain with his high quality materials and excellent craftsmanship.

I'm going with the RCPlanebuyers flavorizer bars, I feel better knowing I'm supporting a USA business.
Thank you everyone for your insight 👍
That's an excellent point mark.

Dave make some of the best stuff you can get. High quality materials with high-level craftsmanship. In my opinion his prices are a bargain for what you're getting. On top of that like you mentioned supporting a small business owner in America that I can trust after dealing with him multiple times and learning that on top of that he has a very high level of professionalism. He takes pride in his work and wants his customers to be more than satisfied. I'm thankful to have the option of buying from him.

4 of these short bars came with that Genesis 4/5 grill. It has SS bars in it that are still in decent shape, but he said he had the heavy bars custom made. They are 3mm thick and non-magnetic. I wish he had the 5th plus the other 8 N/S flavo bars.

You can see the difference in thickness between the ones that were in the grill and the SS ones.

A full 3mm thick.

I’ve worked with Dave a couple of times…I have a set on my Gold B I got ten years ago and they are still in great shape. I use that grill a few times a week so yeah, quality is definitely there!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I appreciate it. It's good to know people who have used them for quite a while and how they hold up.

3mm thick is impressive. Wowser!

i live about 10 minutes from Dave and was lucky enough to meet him and pick up a set. Couldn’t be happier. I think I paid $75 so the shipping he’s charging is not bad at all.
Would have loved to get some grates but he isn’t making them.
The Qulimetal 9mm though are freaking awesome. So easy to clean.

bbqparts.com sells the replacement stainless steel set of 13 bars from Modern Home Products for 78.99 plus charges a flat rate of 9.89 for UPS ground shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states. They are 18 gauge - slightly thinner than rcplane - but maybe closer to the gauge of the OEM bars.
