I like to burn allspice berries, star anise pods, cinnamon bark, and pretty much anything that burns. Kevin informed me that they should never ignite or the smoke will get acrid. I always keep them in foil and never had problems.
I was thinking I'd try the packet of walnut shells out on the gasser, because I found a small packet of aromatics goes far in the small volume of the grill.
hmmm, what to try it on?
