Ugly (but tasty) Thanksgiving

Things got a little hot under the hood, that and a surplus of butter, provided for the ugly bird award

Started off good

I anticipated it would take 3 hours, but I was an hour off, it was pretty much done in two hours

We just had the breast meat for Thanksgiving, this morning I cut the rest of it up, and I'm looking forward to turkey sandwiches

I’ve had sun tans like those turkey legs at ATT Park. My legs get burnt wearing shorts in September because it’s still hot during day games.

That bird looks yummy. Need a spinner for the WSK.

You're not alone here. I had a 14 lb turkey, and was figuring on 3 hours as well, but our turkey was looking done around 2 hours.
Because I've pulled things off a bit prematurely in the past, I went to 2.5 hours just to be sure.

Then I found this Weber webpage "How to Rotisserie a Turkey" that indicates 2 to 2.25 hours for a 14 lb bird is pretty typical.
