Well, long time no see again all. Life has been busy again of late and not a whole lot of time to grill or smoke anything, but we made the time on Saturday!
My GF brought home some very nice, and large, turkey drums from our local meat market, along with 3 lbs. of chicken wings! Used up some older rub I had left and got the turkey drums all ready to go:
Then wrapped the ends up in foil and onto the Performer:
Indirect using lump with no baskets and I added a bit of apple chips at the start.
Checked the turkey and once it hit about 150'ish, I added the chicken wings and here they are, almost done! Just getting the skin all crisped up:
And once all was done, cleaned the grill off a bit and then grilled up som asparagus. Just EVOO and S&P:
And here they all are plated. Not the prettiest plate job, but who cares?!
Also did up some garlic french fires in the oven to go along with this plate. Turkey was fantastic! Will be doing them again. Chicken wings were downed as normally done by all involved.
