I sanded it down. I put wide masking tape around the edges of the rectangular area that is recessed. Then I used a cordless square sander to slowly and carefully sand it to bare aluminum. I will clear tomorrow and post pics of the final product!Nice - How did you do the lettering (sanding, waxing, etc)?
Correct, just looks great with no real downside. This has already been cured to 600*That is nice. It doesn't look like the clear turned the bare aluminum on the logo white like the Rustoleum clear does.
Looks great Eric!Wanted to update this. Paint is holding up excellent. This is my main grill in the winter months here in NH as it heats up well in the cold being smaller than the others I have. The only change in the paint is one is actually likely. The clear coat over the bare aluminum that I polished on the raised logo has slightly yellowed. Gives it an almost gold color, I actually really like it with the red. View attachment 107767
