Frijoles negros, guac, fresh pico, habanero salsa verde, salsa roja, cebollas y cilantro and arroz con maíz y cebolla on the menu. made some pickled jalapenos with onions and carrots too this weekend. served with warmed maíz y harina tacos.

And mango margs.

Oh yeah! The bar is set high for the Cinco!
We had some company over for dinner. My bud’s family is from MX and he’s a restaurateur and he was quite impressed by this gringo's spread. Cinco de Mayo is a big thing here in CA (one more reason to drink and eat with friends). Weather last night was perfect. Margs were frozen and smooth. Salsas had some heat. And the steak and chicken were juicy and very flavorful. It was a very good evening.
