this is really only a tease....
I saw this guy (or his relative) at the local grocer last week, thought it looked pretty cool, kinda novelty-like...
almost as ridiculous as the Tomahawk Steak...
well, anyway, this week the guy's on sale, 3 bucks off a pound. So, I took 'em home.
and here he is. Ain't gonna grill'em 'til Sunday.

I vacuum sealed the dude until Sunday morn when he'll come out to shine (or sizzle)

i'll post the actual grillin' early next week.
Now, my task for tomorrow is to find spuds of appropriate size...

T-Bone my foot, if that's not a Porterhouse I'll kiss your red Weber grill in the middle of beautiful downtown Raymond!
Look at the tenderloin side of that thing!
It's defective Jim, send it to me for disposal.

I agree Bob, definitely a porterhouse.

Jim that is awesome that's going to be one fantastic dinner for sure. But that was nice of Bob to offer to take it off your hands!!!:p Looking forward to the cook on Sunday.

Jim - How are you cooking The Beast? I had some trouble with my Tennis Racket Ribeye. I could not figure out how many minutes per side was enough. I think I went 8 and had to throw it back on the grill. Have you thought about a reverse sear?

Jim

Just think what that steak would cost at a place like Ruth's Chris, and then smile cause you know yours will be way better Jim!
