I was running out of heat, and Tony taught me to splash some water on it to remove the glaze, and it works good, or at least it's a lot better than scrubbing, LOL

The comal is the best purchase of 2014, thanks Tony R for the ideal
 
Hey Chuck... Your yard really looks nice! Meant to say that on the first post but was in a hurry to get on the road and forgot! Still thinking about the Santa Maria, but could only use it late fall and winter. Sure like them though. Feel the pain on the G Men. They've got the DL Blues. Now Belt.

I GOTTA HAVE THAT SET UP! I found a Comal at this site: http://www.mexgrocer.com/comales.html...they have a presence on Amazon...is this the outfit that backordered you for weeks? Also, did you end up with the "Dr. Cook" brand? The description at MexGrocer says "23 inches"...I don't want to get it and have it not fit in my kettle.

the Amazon outfit I had on order but never got was with "PoohPoohShop" (guess that should have been a dead giveaway) I did get the "Dr. Cook 92516 Comal Bola Stainless Steel Fryer, 22-inch."

Had the PoohPoohShop come through, I would have paid $57.49 but I was fortunate enough to find it at our local flea market (new) for $65

I did see several places on Amazon that I could buy the Dr. Cook 92516 for $65, so I'm not dissin' Amazon, just the poohpoohshop

I would be concerned about buying a 23" unless it says Dr. Cook 92516

I believe mine is the same as Tony R's
