To sear hot and fast or cook low and slow?

Picked up a package of this "Boneless Beef Rib Finger Meat"

I've been looking at for a while. Never cooked before. Has a lot of fat and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this cut. Lots of fat :o

Plan was to marinade in Sempio Bu Go Gi Korean BBQ marinade and then grill over coal. Finish with Green Onion and Sesame seeds. If not a good idea was just gonna S/P and smoke for 2-3 hours with some hickory.

Hi Mark, not much info on it but it's a rib meat and I think I would be tempted to smoke it. I have a feeling it would take more than 2-3 hours to do so, but I don't know for sure
 
I seen some called boneless country style beef ribs or finger meat and as long as they don't have a lot of gristle you could grill, but I would go along with ChuckO and go L&S.
Boneless shouldn't take that long and that Korean flavor sounds great.

I found this for a crock pot but put it on a grill and smoke it sounds better.:wsm:

Awesome. Yes this is exactly the cut I am talking about. I think given the fact that this recipe calls for a slow cooker/braise I will go the smoke route over the hot coal way. Thanks Tim.
