A humongous pork steak that I had cut awhile back and actually forgot it was in the freezer until
yesterday. Marinated in Wickers for approximately 8 hours and then was seasoned with
Sweet Rub O Mine. I saw the Sweet Sauce O Mine at Lowe's this morning and decided to give it a shot.
I am using the WSM today with lump charcoal, a few chunks of oak and my clay saucer. Going to
try and maintain a temp of less than 250 for the first few hours of the cook.
Seasoned some yellow and zucchini squash with EEOO and garlic pepper.
At the 2.5 hour mark I put the squash on the WSM and sauced the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] side of the pork steak.
Gave the squash (and some of the pork steak...
) a sprinkling of shredded Parmesan cheese.
Squash is done!
Pork Steak followed the squash! The WSM locked on to a temp of 235 for this 3 hour cook!
Plated with some leftover hash brown casserole. This steak was more than enough for 2 people!
The Sweet Sauce O Mine was actually very good. It did not overpower the pork flavor. Delicious and
fairly simple Thursday night dinner.
Thanks for looking!
