From our minister at the Easter service. Short winded version.
A New York cabbie and a minister are waiting at the pearly gates for St Peter. The cabbie goes first and is welcomed with a golden staff and ushered by two angels to a large mansion. The minister is thinking that after 43 years of service that he will really be rewarded.
When the minister is greeted, he is handed a wooden staff and pointed to a one bedroom condo. He is perplexed and asked St Peter why the cabbie was rewarded better than him with 43 years of ministry service.
St Peter replies that in Heaven, we are results based. When you did your job, people slept. When he did his job, they prayed.
