The forgotten Weber Flame 27000 Fireplace/Fire Pit

Don't see much info on the site on these so I figured I'd post a couple pics of my 2005 Weber Flame Fireplace.

I have owned it since 2010 and it sits outside, year-round here in the New England weather and never fails to light on the first or second click of the igniter. I have done absolutely nothing to it over they years but keep it covered and refill the 20 lb tank.

When I first got it all my "outdoorsy" friends laughed at me for buying a Propane Fire Pit. But over the years they've come around and now several of them are on the hunt for one!

With the wheels that are on the back of it we can roll it where we want and if it starts to rain we wheel it under the carport and stay dry.

As you can see it's great for my three kids as my 5 year old lights the fire when we do s'mores and when we are all done you just twist a knob and call it a night.

Jeff
I need one of those!!! Never heard of it.

I bumped this thread back to life 30 weeks ago. The seller JUST responded to me with pictures, and they show nothing definitive.

I think I'm going to head over and try to buy it regardless of condition. Seems like the community could use the parts.

I wish I had one of these fire pits. I can’t seem to find anywhere that would ship to Canada. I settled on a solo stove for the time being.

Hey everyone. I ran across this thread a few years ago and ever since I’ve been eager to get one for the family. Well, today it finally happened! Found this on Kijiii (Canada’s Craigslist) for $150 Canadian (about $115 or so $US).

That’s a bit more than what others have picked up theirs for, but it’s really the first one I’ve seen for sale in Canada. It’s in pretty good shape for its age and included both covers (the main cover is pretty crusty but the bottle cover is in great condition).

Now we just need to get a bit colder weather!

It looks very nice - Congrats!

Jeff got me looking several years back and I finally scored a NG one about two years ago. Only thing it didn't have was the cover. Found a reasonable substitute on Amazon. Great unit!

Had to say goodbye to an old Friend today.

My Mother-in-law let my Daughter use her car for the last month after my Daughter had her car rear ended and totaled.

So as a Thank You gift I gifted her my Weber Flame fire pit as she's been looking for some time for one. I have enjoyed it immensely over the last 12 years but I know it's going to a good Home.20220613_204122_HDR.jpg

Nice score! Wish I could find one down east here on in NS on Kijiji.

Too bad you don't live closer Timothy, I have a NG one I would be willing to sell.
Well, had I not built the hillbilly hearth I might be inclined to make a Wisconsin cruise.😉
To tell the truth, I’m considering a visit coming by the Badger to Manitowoc and seeing a friend in Milwaukee then down to Chicago and home. Heck, if that happens, I’d better drop my mixer off with Larry! Besides, I’d like to meet some of you guys, share a cup of coffee (?) and a little time to talk. I missed Jim Lampe last trip.

Fully understand, had I not done the HH I’d have been over to snap that up!
I‘ve got a stub in a pretty good spot for one! Keeping that in mind Pal.
I think removing the 800# behemoth is not in the agenda in the foreseeable future.

I have had mine since 2005, took it to the powder coater about 7 years ago, it got scratched up during a move so took it to the powder coater again. Left the sides black but did everything else in a hammered bronze, did the top and the Weber badge in copper and replaced the lava rock/logs with fireglass.

I was considering the fireglass on my flame. Can you show a photo of it at night lit up? Do you have any problems with it using the fireglass?
