The Barber chair smoker

I struck up a friendship with a guy I'd met at the nursing home where my mom was at. He was the handyman and could fix anything. Through conversation we figured out we both had a passion for grilling and bbq. One day he said he was going to build me a smoker. He builds smokers out of anything and everything; mainly junk. The base on this one came from the barber chair that was replaced at the nursing home. It jacks up and down and swivels 360 degrees! The first time I fired it up to season it heated to 260 degrees and held it smoothly. This guy is a smoker artist and perfectionist.

I've been seasoning it using salt pork and halved whole onion. Think my first smoke will be whole chicken.
