Thanksgiving Turkey

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday!

Whew...long, non-stop action pretty much all day. But, it's always worth it when the family does the head-bob and hummed "yum" at those first bites.

Of the different types of turkeys I've bought and cooked (pricey fresh free range to frozen), I gotta say a frozen Butterball is a pretty darn good bird.

This was an 18lb Tom - had to ensure the family there would be leftovers, and it turned out delicious


Oven roasted at 325F....in a roasting bag. I hope I don't have to turn in my TVWBB card

Turkey omelets this morning. Then 2nd Thanksgiving (repeat) tonight. Turkey tacos, turkey soup, turkey sandwiches....and the family loves it all

Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. We had Cornish hens from the Nesco roaster yesterday.

Regardless of how you cooked it you got great results and had happy eaters, and that's what really matters!
