Thank you folks!

I just want to thank you folks.
My wife is home from the rehab facility and I’m getting things more dialed in as far as her comfort and safety.
And special thanks to ChuckO and LMichaels for their personal messages of support and continuing prayers.
So, thanks for everything!
There is a long row left to hoe before she is back and running but, she is home and happy to be here!

Tim

She did very well with breakfast and “a personal moment” getting her meds in then back to bed. Now that she is snoozing, I will run a few errands and get back to cleaning the kitchen, that has been neglected since this whole thing started!
It’s been a long eight weeks but, now my job really begins.
Last nights dinner was well recieved!
Thanks again everyone.
Your support has helped keep me a little more grounded.

Tonight, an old “comfort food” of my Mothers from when she was a “Campfire girl” in Delavan Wisconsin!
“Sioux Squaw Stew” very nice on a cold grey February evening.
Today has had ups and downs, quiet now, her son will visit on his way home from work, again. He is glad she is here too!
And it sounds like we are going to get back on track for Saturday “family dinners” this week!
Meatloaves, mashed potatoes and steamed green beans! Some sense of “normalcy” is beginning to return.

Loaves made, IMG_1290.jpeg
2.5 lb. Beef, one of Italian sausage and andouille in the middle. Red, yellow pepper, celery, onion, garlic, three state cheddar, two eggs, a cup and a half of pulverized Chex mix, 3/4 cup barbecue sauce.
Indirect method, pecan for smoke. Green beans all tipped and in the steamer vessel, mashed potatoes ready to roll.
If my brain is still connected I’ll post a plated picture.
With the kids coming, her brother and niece, we will be 8. Kind of her first family meal since Christmas!
For all the tweaking of the digs, there is always one more thing to deal with. This morning it was adapting the headboard for proper fit, Running laundry, dumping ash catchers (both kettles) fresh bed linens, change of clothes.
I’m ready for someone to make me a cocktail….nevermind, I’ll do it too!😉
