Hello All,
Each year at TG we have a family reunion of sorts with my wife, Kari's, family. We travel to central Arkansas and stay for the week in condos for a lot of family fellowship, fun, and great food. This year, since I am a semi-invalid, my BILs graciously agreed to take over the turkey duties. Even so I could not just not cook could I? No I couldn't. The week before TG I got my weekly installment of the Weber Recipe of the Week which was Grilled Butternut Squash with Candied Pecans. Pictures below:

Quartered & De-Seeded

On the Grill

The WhoDat Mini Chugging Away

Mid Cook - Basted with Butter Sauce

Staged for Service (forgot to add the candied pecans before taking the picture)

Bonus Pic - Creamy Butternut Squash Soup - (made by Kari from the leftovers)
This turned out very well. Our TG meal is a pot luck affair with three families of amazing cooks chipping in. This ensures a varied and pleasant dining experience and also ensures lots of leftovers. This allows us to get creative for subsequent meals and led to the awesome creamy grilled squash soup that Kari made with the leftover squash and some truly phenomenal turkey stock. The squash was a solid dish and I will definitely make it again. Next time around I will add candied bacon as a topping along with he candied pecans. Thanks for looking...
Regards,
John
