Tested out some chicken on my NEW TOY!!

Rubbed this 5 lbs bird with "Bad Byron's Butt Rub " injected with butter and more bbbr and lemon juice.

Also I learned how to truss a chicken, here she is all tied up.

Rotisserie! Oh Ya! Got it off of Craigslist for 70 bones! Bird on the spit.

kickin back some flat root beer as she's cookin!

About 1.5hrs and she's ready to rest.

Sorry no plate pix, but I got to say, that had to of been some of the best chicken I've ever done! Drum sticks were spot on. The breast was a little on the dry side, but still very good. Thanks for looking, and I'm sure I'll be posting more from the rotisserie!

Well, glad I could help a brother out! Good thing to know: the weber rotisserie has a power cord, and the Cajun Bandit uses batteries. Don't know about the Bandit, but the weber is very quiet when its running.

Looks like you cooked it at about 350? Are the baskets also full of coals or are they empty, and just holding all the coals in the center?

the temps stabilized at about 350-400°f I had the bottom vent about half open or just under. And the charcoal baskets were to just keep the coals together.
