Test servo throw

I have just bought a BBQ with a heatermeter built in and I am testing things. At the moment the valve is still open when the BBQ has gone over temp. I suspect that the servo horn is not correctly positioned.

Is there a way to force the servo to go from fully open to fully closed?

What kind of bbq has a heatermeter "built in"?

You configure limits of servo travel , read the instructions, probably set wrong.
Just changing setpoint temp ....you can force it open or closed

Thanks I will give it a go.

As to your question, a custom made gravity smoker.

Good gawd, it's *PURPLE*. Wow. I've built a similar smoker.

Yes, the fan & damper work in tandem. Bryan can give you more detail about what's happening in that regard.

I built the mini version of that smoker, and my plans for this summer is to build it's bigger brother, as you have. Had plans to do the same thing you have done with integrating the HM. Looks like you beat me to it. Great looking Smoker!!
