Take a week off work and go fishing and relax they said.................

This thread is awesome, Darryl.

Fwiw, I'm an experienced hiker/camper. 46er in the ADKs among other things.

My friend, you got eaten alive. Try this. I swear it works.

2 parts Muskol or Ben's repellant
1 part Skin-so-Soft
1 part Apple cider vinegar.

Just one guy talkin', but even Maine flies leave me alone.

Great cooks, man. You are banging out some great food on that JJ.

"Even a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work."

I'm all about spray. I understand not using cream, as you don't want to get it on your hands, but spray. Heck, I fog a small room :)

Lol! Totally. I recall using a military grade, 99% DEET spray in the 70s and 80s. Probably accounts for a ton of health issues in the world today, but man did that stuff work. It erased the lettering on the bottle pretty much instantly.

Awesome, I’m glad you like what I’m throwing out. I would love to live in a similar situation as where I am.
I understand the bug thing...I honestly thought I could stay ahead of them but they got me when I was weak.
Never again.
The MRS said to me to put it on and everything.
We have Ben’s repellent here, it works well, like I said I just didn’t give them enough credit.

Thanks for watching......2 more days, I have a frozen picahna here but I think it will be coming home with us.
Trying to eat up all the other small things and not have left overs...I can make that roast on Sunday.

Sounds safe, lol.......I used paint thinner on my bare hands for years....look forward to the results of that.
I honestly don’t eat or use much crap that isn’t really a natural or similar.
Im not freaky deaky like that, I just don’t do it.....try to eat what is grown or raised ect.....
Last 3 holidays this happened to my feet.....I got other bites, it’s just the feet that go crazy.
If I have internet tonight I will post the rib eye cook...if not in the morning.

THANKS!
Nice call on the record.....love Neil.
We listened to that one last night......
I downloaded all my favourite records on the wife’s phone plus more.
We have lots of great tunes going on.
Right now we have Skynard live going...it’s one we don’t own but almost bought a few times.
It’s called.
One more for the road, makes the top lists for love albums often.

And I am having fun, if I had a month or 2 off I would gain weight I think.
I hope you get a week or 2 off this year and get to go away..my time ends soon!

Darryl,
That is some impressive cooking on that JJ. The ribs with nothing to judge temps is the most impressive to me! I hope you continue to enjoy your trip through the last day of it.

Last nights black angus rib steak was perfect.
A few pics, the MRS was very happy again.
Maybe since she is so happy I should ask for a favour or two.....:ROFLMAO::p

Doing the taters this way has become one of my top favourites when making potato.
It’s really easy too, maybe y’all do them the same way....ask and I will tell.

Yeah.....I have had this happen two times previously, like I said before....dumb me finally learned my lesson.
I did see a dock spider today however, it was about the size of my hand........was hiding in our boat....nice surprise.
Dang Darryl, that don't look very fun. You sure that's deer flies and not a spider bite?
