Sunday Spares

Started out hot... on the old 3wheeler kettle...
butt then things seem to settle down and the cook was on it's way.
Liz cut up some taters and onions and skewered them on Fire Wire then placed 'em on the Weber Genesis Gold Gas Grill (WGGGG)

I really need stainless rod grates for this gasser...

The grilled Yukons and Vidalias were soon cooked then set aside to cool. A short time later, the spares were sauced up with the now famous No. 5 Sauce.
Meanwhile, those taters and onions... well, those were added into a mixture of ExtraVirginOliveOil and red wine vinegar and a lotta minced garlic and some chopped up oregano, flat leaf parsley, thyme and cilantro... it all made a very tasty potato salad.
Ribs were done, pulled from the grill and rested... then sliced into bite-size portions.
**note: my FireWire loop broke when washing it. Butt there's a LTG that replaces defective skewers.
Anyway, this was our Sunday Spares dinner.

...and as the sun sets and this glorious day comes to an end, I wish you all a peaceful evening many more platefuls of spares!

Outstanding cook Jim and Liz!!
Great pics too, I really liked the plated and sliced rib shots!

Noticed the Stubb's bag.
How did you like it?
I've got a bag, but haven't cracked it open yet.

Thanks folks!
ya know, i'm not really likin' how the spares are finishing up on the kettle as compared to the WSM. BabyBacks smokeUp jus fine on the kettle but the spares aren't the same. Either i experiment a little more with'em or simply cook'em only on the WSM. Whatever.
Anyway, umm, yeah... Sunday looks to have been the pork of choice from Texas through Missouri on the way up to Badgerland.
Bob, that's the last bag of Stubb's I have left from 5. It's good stuff, i like it alot. Butt i got like 20 bags of Kingsford Blue, so i use Stubb's sparingly
