Sunday Baby backs with dr. Pepper BBQ from scratch

Just have one pick, make on the performer with the smokenator using 3-2-1 method and turned out great! Smokenator kept temp. 250f flat all 6 hours

Recipe:


4 tbsp. unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 large yellow onion, minced
1 cup ketchup
½ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup light brown sugar
⅓ cup Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. tomato paste
2 tsp. ancho chile powder
1 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. ground white pepper
1 12-oz. can Dr Pepper soda
1/4 cup honey

Heat butter in a 4-qt. saucepan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onions; cook until soft, 4–6 minutes. Add ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire, paste, chile, salt, pepper, honey and soda; bring to a simmer. Cook until thickened, about 30 minutes.
