Just doing my share to speed this process along. I imagine the band below the lid would need to remain black as well but couldn't quite explain it to our overlords. The black is no longer necessary, pick a color and let it define the WSK.

Nice job with the renders! And yea, the support ring would probably need to remain black because it's painted versus porcelain enameled. Getting a color match between painted and porcelain enameled parts can be a real nightmare. That's not to say it isn't possible, but it can be a real QA headache.

We're always talking about new ideas here at Weber HQ, and the Summit Kamado is ripe with opportunities as it's what I consider to be our best grill period.

I would like to see swing up side tables as an accessory for the E6. I have them on my large BGE. I can fold them down and put a cover over them when it is rainy or fold them up to hold food or thermometers etc. One consideration might be the "tip-factor" given leverage of the side shelves.
