Still not the crust that I was shooting for, but very satisfying!

For the photo pholks:
The pics were not great, but no flash used.
Most shots were at f/5.6 with a Pentax 18-55mm.
moon shot: ISO 6400
grill/skillet shots: ISO 12800
plated shots: ISO 3200
Post processing with only contrast adjustments.
My photo skills are a work in progress, just like my cooking skills.

Sounds (and looks) perfect to me!
 
Very nice looking dinner. You want a good crust try salting the steaks then putting them in the CI pan.

I totally second what Jim says! Your camera definitely handles the high ISO's good. As you told me it's the photographer, not the camera, but it does help to have the right tools..

Just like my Weber is capable of better cooks than I put on it, my camera is capable of better shots than I take with it.
Still having fun working to improve both.

What strippers And no invite! geez what a guy! Bob I think I have that same Wagner pan!! Does it look like this on the bottom?
