Started playing with Coleman things...

Some of the houses around here still have the pole NG lights with gas mantles. ( circa 60's )
Reminds me of the Coleman lantern I used to walk the kids for Halloween back in the day.
Sons all in scouts we had alot of Coleman stuff some handed down from my Dad.
Truly a great company.

Me too, haven’t been on there in quite a while
I asked on there but maybe you could advise me. This looks like a very good deal. Everyone one the Coleman Forum says go for it. Do you have any thoughts? Only thing I can think of is the glass correct? Seems like it has odd markings? But I'm not sure what to look for.

I’d definitely grab that! It’s always nice to have the original globe but even if it’s a Chinese replacement it’s still a good deal at $30

Ok thanks for the advice! I just offered $60 for two 200A lanterns that look to have original glass. Listed for $40 each

Nearly done refinishing an old 426d 3 burner that was left in a shed. One corner was in the dirt, so there is a small rust hole, but it still functions well and was worth playing with to me. All I have into it is time and some paint, and it's very satisfying to bring it back. Still have the other grate to clean and to mount the other latchPXL_20230925_195749774.jpgPXL_20241016_224803969.jpgPXL_20241016_192316287.jpgPXL_20241016_192320521.jpgPXL_20241016_192332249.MP.jpgPXL_20241016_192337820.jpgPXL_20241018_190222329.jpgPXL_20241018_233319726.jpg

Awesome work!

The second LP gas grill I bought was a green monster Coleman with a side burner. Unfortunately, it didn't cook for diddly since it was way too big for the btu's. Finally gave it away when we moved west. Was the reason we went through a couple of Smoky Joe's which didn't do well in New England salt air. The Coleman became home to a hibachi sitting on the grates just to keep it out of the New England winter weather. Love the Coleman grill tools and still use them 40 years later though the green handgrips are a little battered. I've got spares of them, but haven't used them yet. Still use our Coleman coolers for family gatherings.
