Jon. Are the Htanch grates 9mm?I saw that, too. Also noticed that "Htanch" or something like that is trying to compete with what appears to be an identical set at $45.
I am tempted to get another set or two, but since I am no longer sure how many grate sets I have, I am going to be content to have gotten the one of these I did buy.
Yes.Jon. Are the Htanch grates 9mm?
With only a $5 difference Bruce do you have a pair of each to compare?Yes.

Did you go with battery or electric?Yah Josh, wait until she unwraps a set of Deluxe Weber grilling utensils for Christmas.

Oh nice! I've heard really good things about them! Quality built in America. My former [client] manager has a Yoder pellet smoker. He's made some darned good food with it. Yoder is also a pretty decent company to deal with. I have a Yoder charcoal grill that's no longer stock.![]()
I ordered through a local distributor, and was debating paying the LTL freight charge ($$$$$) or driving down to MS where they're made. Unfortunately, I'd either have to take the lid off, or take the cap off my pickup. Fortunately, the distributor got enough orders to fully load a semi-trailer. "Want us to throw yours on?" Oh, yes please.Oh nice! I've heard really good things about them! Quality built in America.

Very cool! I bet it works great alsoI ordered through a local distributor, and was debating paying the LTL freight charge ($$$$$) or driving down to MS where they're made. They called when it was unloaded. I'd had my flatbed trailer out, and still hitched up, so off we go. Mind you, this grill weighs 450 lbs, has a 24"48" grilling surface and is the better part of 5' tall. The gent out from of the showroom just about fell over laughing when I pulled in and parked "You wouldn't believe how many people think they're gonna haul that in a Honda CRV!" Oh, yes, yes, I would believe how many people. This grill even has fork pockets and tie down eyes on it, they loaded it up for me with a forklift.
To be perfectly honest, there are a few things about my grill that I don't care for. It *WILL* collect water when it rains down in the ash drawer. And the cooking grates are made out of expanded mild steel sheet, they just corrode away over high heat grilling. I've made a set of cooking grates from 3/8" SS304, and a replacement charcoal tray with an expanded sheet bottom (the original tray just does not have enough air flow.) And a sheet metal rain cap that's painted to match along with OEM hinges & handles.

Well, it does now. The new charcoal tray gets enough airflow, and those 3/8" stainless grates are almost completely nonstick. Those grates will also last almost until the heat death of the universe.Very cool! I bet it works great also
