Spinning a Rack of Lamb

I have ever prepared a rack of lamb. Before Easter my daughter was shopping with me and asked me if we could do one, so we picked a rack up. Then on Easter Rich G. posted a rack of lamb cook so I used his process and guidance for this whole cook today. Here is what I had after a trimmed it up.

A pan sear to start and this is what I had.

After a couple minute rest, I slathered the lamb with the mustard, oil, vinegar, and herbs goodness.

Into my new just arrived onegrill rotisserie basket. Another purchase I can thank this website for.

I put it under the Broiler for a few minutes, but didn't get the char Rich got, but that's OK.

After a nice rest, here are the first two cuts.

All cuts done.

And plated, my daughter wanted red skin mashed potatoes with the lamb. She made them while I was working on other parts of dinner.

Super great meal. A special thanks to Rich G. For this one.

Nailed it! Nice job on your first RoL, Michael (and kudos to your kiddo for the delicious looking taters!) I don't get to eat lamb often, but man is it good (especially when you cook it right!) Glad that worked out for ya!

Thanks Rich! I wanted to let you know I was able to remove the membrane from the back of the ribs during the trimming process. They were thin and I don't know how much of a different it made, but I was able to do it and will remove them next time also.

I have been on the hunt for a rack,or just lamb chops for a good price.
Around here, Sam's Club has racks and chops for very reasonable prices. Much less pricey than the grocery stores.

At Easter, I bought packages that contained two racks, and the price was less than $20. It's usually more than that, but still reasonable.
