Sometimes being well stocked is good for a buddy!

Just had a call from a fellow Weber aficionado, family visiting from out of town and wanted a brisket, arrival was after Costco was closed! The phone rings...”Hey, you wouldn’t happen to have a “spare” brisket in your freezer, would you?”
I told him I certainly did and he was more than welcome to replace it next week!
He’s a good guy,and I’m happy to help him out!
Being well stocked can be valuable!

Yup. we always keep several slabs of pork ribs, 2 or more butts and some whole chickens in one of the freezers. Beyond that, assorted sausages,, ground meat, a ham, several pounds of bacon and various other proteins, depending on the sales we find. I hate paying full price for meat, so usually stock up when the price is right.

I’ve only used a sous vide unit a couple of times but, I liked the results with tri tip, both times.
I might borrow my brothers again for a standing rib roast for my birthday but, I don’t know...yet.
