Some Flanken and Shrooms

Just a quicky today, some Flanken Style ribs some left over ****aki's and Baby Bellas along with some Sweet Potato,
Found a different Lump at one of the local Groceries thought I would give it a try, burns hot, nice composition size wise but sparkles like crazy in the chimney.

The line up tonight, Flanken Cut Beef Ribs marinated overnight in garlic ginger and green onions along with Hoisin Sauce and Five Spice Powder, along with rice wine and soy. The Shrooms done in EVOO and Five Spice.

A quick sear for the meat, then on indirect to finish, Sweets on for awhile now just about done, and some thirst quenching from Sammy

Excellent looking plate Bill!!! Those ribs are cut a little thicker than what i am used to seeing, were they tough or chewy?
 
No John they were not tough or chewy. Very nice. I have tried to find them thinner but no one around here has them. Peter posted a cook of his that was fantastic and they were thinner, but like I said not available everywhere I checked.
I'll have to suffer through these.

Just back from vacation and this meal makes me want to fire up the grill right now. Great looking plate as always, Bill.
