I havent been to Bush's Market, but my wife has.
I usually just call around to price things, and just check the fliers out as well.
IGA in Nashville runs some really good deals from time to time. I just got a whole NY strip sliced up an inch thick for $3.99 per lb, ended up with 17 steaks.
Ive been smoking the usual.
BB ribs, spare ribs, country style, pork butts, and brisket.
I came across 3 briskets at wal mart earlier this week totaling over 37 lbs for $1.28 per lb.
I bought all of them and will be doing all 3 of them tomorrow evening. (an all nighter M/M method using mesquite)
I plan to use a rub I got out of Paul Kirks championship Barbecue Sauces, and add some of Stubbs moppin sauce to them towards the end of the cook. (will have my hands full with 3 briskets in there at once)
I did that on my last brisket and it was totally awesome.
I plan to use my food saver to vacuum seal and freeze alot of it.
I had to drive to Shelbyville to find more of that mopping sauce, cause our Marsh here in Columbus was all out.
Tried the chicken chicken recipe, it was pretty good, wouldve liked the skin a little crispier, (guess I could have tossed them on the grill if I wanted that after the smoke)
Hey Mike, how was that meatloaf on your WSM.
I have thought about that myself, but as one other member posted once,,,, my wife makes a pretty good meatloaf, so I better not even go there, or Im liable to end up doing ALL the cooking.
