GF was out of town this week and I had some studying to do, and this could only mean one thing. BBQ TIME!!!!!!! Headed down to our local bay, Shelter Island. Drove down there and luckily they had charcoal pits. Also, this was a good opportunity for me to give the Cowboy charcoal a try.
There is a military base across from Shelter Island. First things first, saw this HUGE C-17 taking off. The sheer size of it was pretty startling and it was still picking up speed and trying to climb. The plane felt like it was going so slowwwwww.....
Hispanic gentleman had his mariachi music blasting. Pretty neat vehicle!
Started setting up.
Ready to go!
Set it and forget it.. Windy day too! Had it going at 220F for 1 hour, then 325 to 350 for the next 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Took more pictures during the cook..
Shelter Island fishing pier.
Huge vacation cruse liner heading out towards the sea..
Just before sunset...
Dinner is ready! Grilled and brushed with Baby Rays Honey Chipotle sauce.
