Skyline?

So I have an old skyline and I have always wondered what the story behind them is and if there’s any thing special about them besides the paint…

Only the paint. Back when Sears Roebuck was a Weber dealer it was a commemorative tip of the hat to Chicago and Sears

They did have a couple kool features, one of them being the condiment tray in front of the control panel. I’ve not seen that on any others of the 1000 series. I’ve got one behind the shop I’ve been parting out for a few years as quite a few parts on it were throw aways. Still have the hood though. Kept the condiment tray and the sliding tray support for my personal 1000

So really just the hood graphics and condiment rack as the others have said. I happen to like black hoods, but the Skyline version gives it more “pop,” and I have my own connections with Chicago. That said, the Skyline is certainly open to mods if you want to do something unique.

Yea I don’t think they came from the factory looking as good as that big boy with the wood side tables. It would be hard for me to even cook that thing!
