Sky Blue Weber Q 2800N

Nice looking Q, I ordered the flame red one along with the griddle.
I can't wait to fire it up.
How are the side tables? Tom Horseman's review did point out that the tables are not as sturdy as previous Q models.
My Q2200 side tables are solid. Holding everything I put on them.

Haven't used the side tables yet for anything other than my tongs etc. But on youtube a video by Riser shows him with a pot of bruts on the side tables and he states they hold up well.

I haven't had any issues with my Q200 side tables. There could be issues where the frame holding the tables is not assembled nice and tight or maybe they warp a bit after years in the sun and weather, but unless you try to set a gallon of milk on them, they should be fine for a plate full of most anything you might cook on the Q.

Love the front pull out for grease pan and the flame deflector for inside for the grease pan. I'll bet that can be retrofitted
This imho is the biggest useful upgrade to the Weber Q. that side grease tray was a pain to have to fiddle around with. the newly designed front access combined with a bigger opening for grease/drippings - Weber built an excellent upgrade to the Q.

I'm constantly amazed at the sheer creativity and brute force fandom the Aussies have for the Weber Qs. I definitely feel like they are kindred spirits with us Weber junkies but just for the Qs.
Yes, this is why AU/NZ "Q junkies" get all of the Weber Q accessories. It does seem like Weber is bringing back Weber Trivet & Roasting rack to the USA. It's listed on their Weber Q2800N accessories page -"sold out" "notify me" option.

This is promising as I hope it brings other Aussie Weber Q favorites to the USA market. I am hoping for the Weber Q Smoke box/ trivet set to become available in North America. Would love a legit Weber Q Low & Slow smoke set up

FYI, you can get the large and/or small versions of the trivet and pans on Amazon now.

Not to be a killjoy on such a positive thread. This is not about the Weber Q , its about the sour taste I have now for Fedex delivery of part of my Weber Q order.

I recently ordered the Weber Q2800 in flame red. Today I received part of my original order.

I received the portable cart, grill cover & griddle.

I am disappointed in FedEx with the way they handled this delivery
I know I am venting & may be over reacting. The issue was how the deliveries were left.
There were 2 separate deliveries today, both from FedEx
One item ( the griddle) was leaning up against the garage door, the Weber box was damaged on the bottom, i opened it up and saw no damage or marks on the griddle. The other two item were "left" on the ground under a bush between us & our neighbors yard.
My neighbor saw it when he was getting ready to mow & water his lawn luckily he did see the items. I still have not received delivery confirmation of any of the items that were "delivered"

FedEx is usually better & at least leaves deliveries near our door front porch. It actually took more effort for the delivery guy to bend over and push them under a bush than it would have to walk it up to our porch and put it behind porch column, which is usually where they leave things.

The actual Weber Q2800 is still in transit, the shipping company is SEKO & shows still in transit.

I felt confident about ordering directly from Weber vs having items delivered to Home Depot then picking them up or having HD delivery to me.
However i am not sure I will order any thing else direct from Weber.

I hope the actual grill delivery is handled with more care & professionalism.

320 square inches of cooking space and went together in 5 mins no joke! Packaging was solid and the grill itself is just gorgeous. No more Q on lid just a solid finish also alot smoother than previous models.
How did your grill arrive? Was it delivered by FedEx or a 3rd party?

Fedex dropped off an order from Weber for me a couple weeks ago. Trashed inside despite superb packing from Weber..

The griddle & portable cart were only packaged in their retail packaging, & Fedex literally dropped the griddle box in front of our garage. retail packaging was mashed on one end, luckily there is plenty of cardboard inside that seems to done the job in protecting the griddle from damage in transit

I saw they finally have these available to us in North America.
Pricey for thick foil disposable "roasting trays"
I found some good alternatives that are not as spendy as the Weber ones
I can also attest that the small trivet fits pretty perfectly on a normal quarter sheet pan.
