Simple Pork Steaks

Hi Everyone!

After sleeping in till noon today, got up and went to Starbucks to get some Ice coffee cause with the Santa Ana like conditions here in San Diego it was quite warm. Stopped by Home Depot to take a look at the 2015 selections of the Weber line up. They had the Master Touch on display.I was drooling all over the warming rack! So after Home Depot I stopped by our local grocery and Pork Steaks were available. Pork steaks sell out real quick and I was real lucky to get a tray.

In the tray there was 3 bone in and 2 strips of boneless.I seasoned the 3 with just S&P,and the 2 strips with Killer Hogs.

Here is a quick action shot after the flip with my usual soy sauce glaze.

I wanted to do fresh green beans but they didn't look too good so I got a Eggplant drizzled with EVOO and Sea salt straight on the grill

Here's the plated pic with white rice and canned green beans

Here is a pic of the Killer Hogs rubbed pork steak later for a snack watching SNL

Tonights cook was powered by Shock Top! For a last minute quick cook everything turned out great. This was my first time grilling eggplants,to me it lacked something so I topped it with some grated ginger(not pictured) and a couple of drops of Soy Sauce.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!!!

Very nice looking meal Greg!!!

FYI, most places will cut you pork steaks but you have to buy the whole butt. Some if not most Mexican markets will even grind it for you if you want

Thanks John for the info! There are times when I crave Pork Steaks and when its not available I get a little frustrated and change my cook. Next craving I'll have the butcher hook me up. Thanks again!
