I was able to fire up the webber = smokenator for 2 cooks this weekend
Sat was just the gf and myself, I had just picked up 10 chickens raised by a friend of mine so I decided to do a spatchcock chicken and scalloped potatoes.
Chicken came out ok
I brined the chicken the night before
threw it on the grill with the scalloped potatoes could not figure out why i could not get the temp over the 280 mark for the entire cook
then the light bulb went off and I figured it was all the liquid in the potatoes keeping the temp a bit lower
skin was a bit rubbery but the chicken had a nice smoke taste and was super juicy
scalloped taters before the grill

Sunday the gf and I had both our parents over and they requested ribs after seeing some of the rib pics i had been posting
also scratch made some mac and cheese and home made backed beans in the crock pot
they loved it..
