the morning started glorious! beautiful sunny skies, decent temps... a great day to smoke.
last night, I seasoned up a 6 lb bone-in pork shoulder with two favorite's...
A Butt Rub For Jane and my new favourite, Newt's Pig Rub from Jacob's Meat Market in Appleton WI
the butt was then saran wrapped and refrigerated over night.
this morning about 8am, I got it all set up on the 18" WSM with apple wood for smoke
Now, let's stroll thru the yard
here is Liz' garden... everything including Kohlrabi, radishes, turnips, cucumbers, carrots, green beans,
an assortment of peppers (both hot and sweet), various tomatoes, patty pan squash (my fav!),
broccoli (george's fav!), zucchini, rosemary, cilantro, potatoes and horseradish.
really looks better in photos than in person. and the doggie poop has been picked up ;P
i'll post photos of the pork and dinner plates later.
Enjoy your sunny Saturday smoke if you're having one.
