Had a little family coming over for the game. 6 adults. So why not cook 3 racks of ribs (on SUPER sale), 5 lbs of chicken legs/thighs and a couple pounds of wings??? Sounds completely reasonable.

did 3-2-1 on the ribs, but iv stopped using brown sugar in the wrap and moved to drizzling honey. Maybe i used too much, but i was thinking it was just TOO sweet the last couple of times. I am really enjoying the honey method.

First of all, Rusty, I think your food quantities sound just perfect for that crowd! :) You should consider adding in a few sausage links just to be sure you don't run out! :)

Secondly, the color on that chicken is perfect!! Any details on your prep and cook?

Nicely done, sir!

Looks awesome! I use honey and brown sugar when I want to pluck the bones and make rib sandwiches; I prefer sweet then.

Thanks Rich. I was very happy with how both the chicken and ribs came out. As far as the chicken, i bought a cheap bag of leg qtrs and did some butchering. I usea combination of Tony Chachere and Meat Church's HoneyHog rub. Cooked it on the Kettle at pretty high temp. I would GUESS 350-375 temp indirect grilling. I use a combination of headcountry spicy and Stubbs with a few additions from the spice cabinet.

Its a pretty simple cook really. I spend most of my energy working on those ribs but the chicken really came out great.
