Salmon find

Yesterday, stopped by Buds Custom Meats (favorite butcher shop) and got a bison ribeye. Today I went by Anna’s Seafood and got a side of Copper River Sockeye Salmon. They were still filleting it when I got there. That’s what for dinner.

Plan is got hot grill it with SPG and a bit of butter on JD charcoal. My cooking partner daughter and her room mate are coming over.

Hi Mark, you all are very lucky people. Salmon is my favorite fish to eat and it has been much, much too long since I have eaten any.

I do if skinless. With skin I don't. Though since getting food poisoning thanks to Schnuk's careless handling of salmon in their store my body is not letting me eat it. Not sure when this will change. I got poisoned by avocados about 7 or 8 years ago, so badly ended up in hospital and county health officials getting involved. I am only now being able to take tiny little tastes of avocado

Wow. Really. But you do get some wonderful seafood in Florida. Another month or so we’ll be out off Bodega bay fishing for king salmon.
Not a day goes by that I am thankful to live here. With the current cost of living (houses/rent) I would not be able to live here.

Mark, great looking vook I am so jealous.
I like mine as yours, but my wife likes it heated just enough to add a smoke smell and flavor, so she can use in a seaweed roll, or sushi, and of course asain salad

Oh Mark, what I would give to be able to join you on your fishing trips.

@ChuckO , king salmon trip in August? Mark, you have a boat or charter?

That's a beautiful filet. You mentioned you cooked it for 8 minutes, at what temp? I'm guessing at 300 until 130 IT? Am I close?
Grilled on my E6. Best guess is 350 to 400F.

Edit: I used the mayo trick and the salmon did not stick at all followed by a quick brush of melted butter.
