Rubber insert for temperature probe

I was reading the other day a thread about how to place the rubber insert on the bullet. I need help finding that thread because I'm having a heck of a time doing it.

I'd try coating it with some Caneola oil & make sure the grommet is "warm".

I didn't have any trouble... I just stuffed it in. But I'm used to installing grommets and o-rings

A little oil, as Rober-R suggests, should make in easier to install.

Just curse & swear like a trooper, the CEO will come running & install it in 30 seconds flat! Worked for me.

I work with o-rings/back-up rings on a daily basis. But that grommet had me beat.

Now I remember how I did it... I didn't apply oil to the stopper, I applied Bourbon to me! Piece-o-cake!

When I got my WSM for father's day I had the same issue. I tried for about 5 mins and thought it was impossible. Then my wife walks by and says "Can I try?". I roll my eyes and hand it over to her. Less than 10 seconds later she hands is back to me and says, "There you go". So embarrassing lol. Good luck!
