ribs in half in 14.5 wrap or not

I am going to do ribs in the 14.5 in my Brinkman rack, the last (and first) time I did them I just let them cook for the whole cook. I was wondering do you guys wrap them halfway through and put them back in the rack? I wonder how a wrapped rib would fit in the rack, is it tight?

In my mini I have two racks and when I foil if doing one rack cut in half I just put one foiled rib half on each rack if doing two racks I just put two one on top of the other on each rack and it comes out fine. I only use the brinkman rack to smoke the ribs and finish them with sauce.

that makes sense, I do have 2 racks in the 14.5 so could spread them out when foiled. when you put them one on top of the other, are they touching? and if so do the parts that touch cook completely?

When I do ribs and wrap in the 14.5", I pull the rib racks out, foil them, and stack them on top of each other. Then I place them back in the racks and the racks back on the cooker.

Dwain;
That is EXACTLY what I'll be doing my next batch of ribs. After the bark has been set, I have been foiling them, putting the foiled ribs in the rib rack (not particularly an easy task) then removing foil and saucing in the rack. I will be foiling and laying the ribs in the smoker with the rib racks out, as you state, then when they have reached the right stage of tenderness, will remove the foil, sauce, and place back in the racks to set the sauce.

I'm READY, where is SPRING?

Keep on smokin',
