Had some friends over that we've been long overdue to hang out with. They've got 4 kids under 10 and my boys love grilled/smoked anything so we pulled a rack of spare ribs, got a rack of beef back ribs, and rolled some hamburgers. I like to pretend it's summer as soon as it's 70*+. Pretty proud of how everything turned out for my standards, and everyone had nice things to say... but it was a beautiful sunny day and the beers were cold so who could really find something to complain about?!
Kylo Ren showed up to check things out.
I did them both 2-1-1 since it's on the kettle and not an actual smoker. Foiled pork with butter and brown sugar.
Did burgers and corn on the Spirit.
I'm working on differentiating... "A BBQ is the only time it's appropriate to eat like this in front of a lady."
We all hung out, kids played and watched a movie, and friends went home about 11:30.
My oldest son says, "Dad, I'm hungry. Can I have another one of your ribs?" You're darn right you can! There is nothing in the world I enjoy more than cooking food for my boys.
