Since it was almost like a spring day here yesterday, I decided I needed to grill some steak. Wife picked up ribeyes on sale. I scored some Mangrates (http://www.mangrate.com) off Craigslist for $15 and I had been eager to try them out.
She did good. Nice think ones.;)

Kinda dark but you can see them sitting on top of the grills grates. I was really impressed how they seared the steaks. Other side looked even better, just didn't get a pic of that side.

Here's your plate along with some potatoes. First time making these. Will def do these again and play around with different toppings.

mangrates for 15 bucks??!! someone didn't like'm, huh?

some daggum nice lookin' ribeyes your honey scored there... and you grilled'm good RJ!
SooCool!

Great looking steaks RJ, well done bud. I love my GG's, wish I could find em for 15 bucks I'd buy everyone they had. They are fabulous especially on my Genesis.
A couple of thoughts in case you don't know, cook at lower heat than you think you need they somehow manage to cook that way best. Also if you don't have the pronged spatula from them consider getting it, works very well.

Jim-they were new! Didn't ask any questions,

Bill-read after using them to heat then turn heat down to medium. Will try that next time. Thanks for the tip.

Bob-I hadn't either until I saw them listed and looked them up.

They are some rockin ribeyes there, been looking at getting some grillgrates myself.

Excellent joice on the beer, one of my goto brews is Hoegaarden.

Those are some picture perfect sear marks on those ribeyes and looks like they were cooked to perfection. I love the crash hots, ever since i saw Jim Lampe make them they have been a favorite of mine.

Thanks all.

Phil-first time I had that beer was at a mexican restaurant of all places. It is pretty good.
