Ok, due to super busy work did not have time to do much on this project but
reinforcing the SS brackets with a little SS welding.
Hoping to put it all together this weekend.

Those definitely aren't going anywhere, nice TIG welds.
 
As you can see in the picture TIG welded rings to bracket because they were getting loose ( only press fit before).
It would suck if they come apart during operation...............

used my rol many times without worry or problem.
suppose I should knock on wood?:)
 
How is this working out?

I still have the original set of ROL trays that Bob G. cut down to size to fit my Weber & EZ-Que ring for the 22" kettle and every set that I've used since have worked flawless right out of the box.

just sayin!
