Replacement regulator and hose

I have a Genesis S310 (stainless, 3 burner). The regulator appears to have died. (I tried 2 bottles, no go) The genuine Weber replacement say the hose is 30" long. My hose is 34" long.

Is this going to be a problem ?

No, that should not affect the function of the grill in the least.

You could run that grill on a 4' long hose.

This is definitely the correct hose and regulator for the 2007 - 2010 Genesis E/S 310 with side control knobs. It should also be the correct size for the 2011 - 2016 Genesis with front control knobs. Not sure if it’s the correct one for the Genesis 320 with side burner, though.

Hose length is the main distinction. I am sure that Weber one is good, but myself I wouldn’t pay over twice as much vs. one from Dozyant which has an excellent track record:

Yes there is not "right or wrong" on an LP appliance i.e. a grill or what have you, UNLESS you buy something rated in PSI or as "adjustable". Those are not meant for grills and are unsafe. THe big thing to look for is "11" WC" if you see things like 1 PSI or 1/2 PSI do not use it.
After that it's simply hose length and fitting size and Weber seems to have fallen on a pretty standard 3/8" flare fitting.

I didn’t say it was the only regulator but the hose length of the OEM one is the correct / preferred length.

Yes, for sure. I was just pointing out the price disparity. While not all non-OEM options are good ones - no matter how cheap - Doyzant seems to be one of the better alternatives.

Some people new to the hobby tend to do like I did and go with Weber everything. I meant my comment to be helpful in highlighting a viable different way to go.
