Rehabbing a kettle


 
Bruce, my compliments too on your refurb of that black kettle, particularly the grates. They look like new! Gonna try that method on mine and perhaps delay the inevitable ss replacement .
 
I'd be surprised if that RedMT is still available, pretty clean and a good price.
I'd be all over that if it was closer!

My red MT (don't remember the date code) is in excellent condition. The guy was wanting $40, I offered $45 if he would hold it for me, he did. This was a few years ago before the older kettle prices went crazy.
A new, black, MT on Amazon is currently $219.
